during the week, she's a senior at briarwood swimming through oceans of AP finals and activities to wrap up the school year. in the fall, she'll be a freshman at the university of alabama with plans to study biology/premed. but on the day we met, she was just rosemary -- fun, chatty, beautiful, and agreeable to anything and everything i asked (love that!)
when her mom and i first talked, she told me that rosemary wasn't really the prissy, high-maintenance type and that she wasn't a huge fan of getting pictures made. she said, "if you can just get one great photo..."
i think we made it, mom. ;-)
about halfway through our session, i had poor rosemary doing all sorts of goofy things, but i'm so glad she was on board because the results are too much fun!
shooting the hour just before the sun begins to set is pure bliss for photographers. i love, love, love the soft, warm light because it adds something really magical to the photos. here, see for yourself...
just as we were wrapping up, i shared with rosemary that i've always wanted to be able to do a good serious face in front of the camera but that i've always ended up looking like i'm about to cry, i'm angry, or i've got some sort of weird feeling in my stomach. i asked if she was any good at it...
ummmm...i'll take that as a YES.
don't forget to sign up for the free session and print credit contest!! click here to enter.

While I am biased to the subject of these photos...the artist is wonderful!

If i were her mom I would be VERY happy. These are beautiful!!
Oh Allison, we just love them and can't wait to see them all! You are so talented, and I just love looking at all your precious pictures of children and their families. Amy
