just after midnight on october 17 last year, my precious friend, anna, sent me a message on the computer. anna and i talk via email until the wee hours of the morning night after night, but this time was different. her subject line said "help" and the body said only "are you up?" within hours, anna (who was ten weeks pregnant with multiples) was fighting for her life and the lives of her babies in an operating room of a hospital in tennessee where she and her husband were vacationing.
i won't share the full details of that night; however, i will tell you that there was grief and loss -- but there was far greater joy. despite the tremendous physical and emotional pain that paul and anna endured in the days and weeks following the events of that night, they have devoted their every breath since then to praising the lord for his goodness, his sovereignty, and his provision.
and it's been nothing short of an inspiration and a joy to watch this amazing family as they've traveled this road.
now fast forward seven months. anna went in this morning for a scheduled c-section of her perfectly healthy, perfectly miraculous twin girls. and it is my honor to introduce to you anne perry and audrey kate wamsted:
there are about 150 more photos that i would love to share with you, but anna has baby announcements to send out. i sure would hate to spoil anything. ;-)
