a couple of months ago, i had the real joy of working with bethany and ben when we met at the family farm to shoot bethany's maternity photos. back then, this gorgeous girl was the star of the show...
but on this day, a new leading lady took the stage (wrapped in her mommy's old baby blanket)...
because of an unexpected trip back to NICU, the timing for our session got a bit off and i was a little worried that sara would have started emerging from those early days of newborn sleepiness, but she absolutely couldn't have been any easier to work with or more precious than she was.
at one point, i was capturing a photo of sara curled up on her little tummy, and she started to stir. bethany reached down to soothe her while i kept snapping, and what resulted is one of my favorite photos from the entire session. makes me kind of weepy.
and, of course, no newborn session would be complete without "baby parts". precious!
bethany and ben, you've been richly blessed with the birth of your precious daughter, sara, and i'm so thankful i've been able to walk a bit of this journey with you over the past few months. oh, and before i go, sara has a little message to help us all kick the season off right...
