erica and jason - engagement session

as we were wrapping up our time together this weekend, she told me that she had passed my name along to a friend who was looking for a wedding photographer.  she said, i told her that you're really down to earth and that you make people feel like you've been friends with them forever.  funny thing is, that's exactly how i would have described her as well.

my first contact with erica was several months ago through an email she sent asking if i was available for her wedding day in may.  after ten years of dating, her boyfriend, jason - in his quiet, simple way - had recently proposed, and she was on the hunt for the right photographer to capture the emotion of the beginning of their marriage.  after a handful of emails back and forth, i knew erica and i would be a great match and we set up a coffee date to talk through the details and the vision for their wedding day.

developing true friendships with my clients is hands-down one of the best parts of my job.  that night i walked in the coffee shop and met a stranger, but after only an hour or so, i left feeling like she was an old friend.  we chatted about our families and what was going on in our lives (poor jason couldn't have gotten much in if he had tried), and we set to work on their engagement session.  after seeing drew and lacey's one-year anniversary session photos, erica decided she'd also like a vintage twist.

i wasn't really sure how into this whole session thing jason was, but after a little coaching, mr. quiet and reserved went all GQ on me.
