it was the hottest day of the year. 100 degrees with a heat index of 115 -- and that was on my way home that evening when the sun had finally begun to sink down a bit. but despite the blazing heat and the miserable humidity, annaka and malcolm kept smiles on their faces the whole time we were shooting. impressive enough, but add to that that annaka's seven months pregnant with baby major, and that makes her a bona fide wonderwoman!
in a desperate attempt to stay cool, we grabbed some shots inside before we moved out to the desert. and it only took a couple of clicks of the shutter to know that annaka was going to be stunning on camera.
most of the pictures on my "to-shoot" list were outside photos so we took one last breath of cool air and headed out. annaka's parents house is a photographer's dream because it has tons of amazing places to work.
these are some of my favorites of annaka and malcolm. her eyes simply couldn't be more gorgeous...
but my very favorites are from this set. malcolm had annaka cracking up and she couldn't keep a straight face to save her life. i love, love, love candid shots!!!
thank you, a and m, for being so fantastic and for doing every crazy thing i asked you to do with huge smiles on your faces. see you soon!

I love them! Belly shots really are adorable! So so very glad you waited out the rain.
Annaka looks beautiful! Absolutely love, love, love the ones made on the deck. But also the front porch shot! My goodness, they're all wonderful!
