161 days. that's how long it was from the day i met beautiful sybil sexton to shoot an engagement session with her and her fiance, adam, to the day i watched her transform into stunning mrs. sybil waters as she joined her life forever with her new husband.
sybil counted down every single one of those 161 days and then some. but when december 18 finally arrived, it probably felt to her like time was standing still. she had an amazing dress (which was shot outside by my incredible second shooter, anna wamsted)...
beautiful accessories...
and the reception site was dripping with fantastic winter-themed details.
anna and i agreed that sybil looked simply radiant on her wedding day. my view:
and anna's:
sybil was surrounded by her favorite girls...
but something - no someone - was missing. and when they were finally together, it made the day perfect. sybil and adam chose to see one another before their ceremony, and brides, let me tell you...this is the way to go. their moment was intimate, completely private, and much to my delight, they spent twenty-two minutes blissfully unaware of the camera's quiet click.
when the tears dried and the laughter began to quiet, we moved forward with a few formal shots...
and we grabbed the other guys for their time in the spotlight. pretty handsome, huh? ;-)
i think i can say with certainty that sybil and adam's wedding ceremony was the most beautiful, reverent, and god-glorifying ceremony i've ever witnessed. it was overflowing with love...
as were they.
adam and sybil, i simply cannot thank you enough for inviting me to document your wedding day. it was an unimaginable joy and honor for me to watch your story unfold through my camera lens. i hope you're having an amazing honeymoon in jamaica. much love to you!!
