samuel - newborn

as i drove to their beautiful home amidst a wonderland of white, i dodged patches of ice on the road and marveled at the temperature reading on my car...22 degrees.  by all external appearances, it was a bitterly cold day that probably wasn't so ideal for shooting photographs.

but i hadn't met samuel yet.



this little guy spent most of my time with him awake; but far from fussy, he was as warm, content, and relaxed as any baby i've ever seen.  in fact, he even grinned a couple of toothless grins for me. 




oh, and did i mention he was amazingly easy-going? 




while samuel was eating, i had some time to play with another precious boy in the house.  fifteen-month-old allan is so much fun, and i've decided that he might have the sweetest little face in the world.
