the wamsted girls

i've done my best to leave my calendar clear for the past few weeks as we've been preparing to travel back to ethiopia to bring our newest baby home, but there was this one thing i've really been wanting to do.  and since josh and i hadn't heard much about travel dates from our adoption agency, my dear friend, anna, and i went ahead and scheduled that one thing...photos for her three precious girls in montgomery.  i was just about to head out the door this week for our session together when i got the call...

the US embassy had approved our case, and we were scheduled to travel.  next weekend.

after a few spastic phone calls back and forth, i decided that there wasn't much i could do in terms of scheduling flights or lodging until we got some final details, so i went ahead and headed south.  and i'm so thankful i did because i got to play with these sweet darlings...

i really, really wanted a picture of anna's twins, anne perry and audrey kate, together but as i've heard anna say countless times now, it's not as easy as you might think.  these were my first couple of attempts...

and as hard as that makes me laugh, i was determined to get a perfect shot.  i think we got pretty close.  :-)

and addie?  she made my job pretty easy.  it just doesn't get much more adorable than this...

thank you, anna, for your unmatched friendship, love, and encouragement.  you know that i think you're amazing - and your beautiful daughters certainly are, too!
